Articles, Columnists and Special Events Distribution Announced
for Greenwood Village, CO, January 9, 2002 - Webcom Communications announces the editorial lineup for the premier issue of Magnetics Business & Technology magazine, and arrangements for special distribution of the magazine at important upcoming industry and technology events. The premier issue will include a number of application feature articles authored by leaders in their respective fields of magnetics technology, and columns by top worldwide industry experts. "We are very pleased to present such an outstanding lineup of high quality editorial contributors," said David Webster, editor and publisher. "They represent some of the finest and most knowledgeable minds at work today in several particularly exciting areas of magnetics development. Their articles and columns exemplify the standard of excellence and insight that we intend to deliver regularly." Among the technical feature articles planned for the premier issue are:
Columnists providing their views of important worldwide industry developments and business trends will include Walt Benecki, former president of Group Arnold, and a past president of the Magnetic Materials Producers Association. Also, Port Wheeler, president of consulting firm Wheeler Associates and formerly a senior executive in several leading magnetics companies including Indiana General (now owned by Magnequench) and Crucible Magnetics. "Both have tremendous worldwide experience and expertise in the field of magnetics that will be valuable to our readers," said Webster. In its events distribution program, the magazine has forged alliances with a number of conference and trade show producers that serve the magnetics and related OEM design engineering markets. The magazine will be a media sponsor and distribute copies to attendees at Intertech's Global Outlook for Polymer Bonded Magnets conference in April, and at all three of Penton Media's Total Design (Midwest, Northeast and West) shows taking place this year. The magazine also will be distributed throughout 2002 at additional magnetics-focused events as well as numerous other technology events that Webcom participates in through its other publications serving design engineers and product developers in the electronics, automotive, communications and power industries.
