Remote Site &
Equipment Management, a new magazine for professionals who manage
sites, facilities and equipment that are unattended and remotely
operated, has been announced by Webcom Communications Corp.
The magazine will circulate to remote site and equipment managers
in North America in the fields of telecommunications, oil &
gas, natural resource management, public utilities, transportation,
defense, construction, emergency response, and other applications
of remote asset management and operation of unattended facilities.
"While managers of these remote assets serve many different
industries and fields, they all share the challenges of providing
mission-critical reliability on a round-the-clock basis,"
said David Webster, president of Webcom. "This publication
is designed to keep them up-to-date on the latest tools and technologies
available to them." The content will focus on new products,
services and technologies for monitoring & control, security,
equipment protection, power, communications, lighting, maintenance,
access and automated operation.
At the same time, the publication will provide a cost-effective
way for vendors providing these goods and services to reach key
buyers across the multiple, diverse industries they serve. The
best trade publications help marketers reach their specialized
prospects with a genuine value proposition and this magazine is
designed to accomplish that mission, said Webster. "Vendors
will find 'Remote' a valuable tool for reaching a large universe
of these specialized buyers and exposing their products and services
to new markets that they can't reach effectively now."
Remote Site & Equipment Management will begin publication
in May 2001 with a distribution of 20,000 copies in North America.
It will be full-color, tabloid size. Like other Webcom publications,
the magazine will have a companion Internet portal providing an
interactive online resource center for its audience. The Website
is www.RemoteAsset.com.
